SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POSITION AS FREDSKORPSET PARTICIPANT (MUSIC TEACHER) 2009/2010

NOTA invites applications for the position as FK-participant to work as a music teacher at TaSUBa in Bagamoyo, Tanzania.  The participant will be employed for the academic year 2009/2010. Salary will follow FK regulations.

The vacant position as FK participant is as a music teacher to teach the following subjects:

    • Instrumental skills (mainly guitar and rhythm section instruments)
    • Ensemble
    • Music theory
    • Ear training

In addition to teaching the participant will take part in various professional performances.

The applicant must have a solid background of music, preferably a Bachelor or a Master degree. The education must be both theoretical and practical. Formal qualification in pedagogical subjects and/or experience in education/teaching is a must.

Applicants with competence in guitar and rhythm section instruments will be preferred

Applicants should be between 22 and 35 years old. The upper age limit might be disregarded in exceptional circumstances. Personal qualities will be important in the selection process.

The applicants preferably have to be able to attend the FK preparatory course in week 21 to 23, or alternatively in week 38 to 40. Please indicate in the application weather it is possible to attend the preparatory course in May.

John, Mariam and Chance will come as FK participants to Stavanger in August 2008, providing that a new contract with FK Norway is signed. They were selected in an open process with four days of interviews and auditions.
